Pastoral Team

Pastor Brett Wilson is our senior pastor here a Enoggera and takes responsibility for the teaching and preaching ministry as well as overall leadership and pastoral care of the congregation.Pastor Brett's strengths are teaching the Bible & theology in plain simple language and preaching in ways that connect with real life.

Pastor Brett grew up in Sydney and later in Toowoomba then attended teachers college in Brisbane where he met Debbie and started his career as a High School Manual Arts teacher. He felt a strong call to ministry and resigned from teaching after six years to begin Bible College. Brett recieved a Bachelor of Ministry from Maylon College in 1999, was ordained in 2000 and has a Masters degree in Ministry from Australian College of Theology. Pastor Brett commenced ministry at Enoggera in 2007

Outside of ministry Brett's interests are woodworking and camping (when he gets the chance). He is married to Debbie and has six children.

Mark Westhuyzen has only recently made the move both to Enoggera Baptist Church and full time ministry from a background in teaching. Mark Become a Christian as a child in South Africa where he was born and was baptized as a sixteen year old at Arana Hills Church of Christ.

Having finished school at Ferny Grove High School Mark undertook a degree in secondary teaching, focusing on Physics and Physical Education. Upon Completion of this degree in 2001 he started teaching at Mueller College, then moving to Northside Christian College in 2003. In 2004 Mark felt God's call to full time ministry after years of volunteer involvement in youth groups, Scripture Union camps and worship.

Mark married Alexia in 2002 after having met at church and dating for 5 years. Alexia grew up in Maryborough, is a grade one teacher and has a love for Jesus and people. Mark and Alexia currently have no children, just a large black cat called Sebastian.

Mark is undertaking formal studies part time at the Queensland Baptist College of Ministry with the plan of reaching ordination in the not too distant future.

Outside of ministry Mark's interests are sport, hanging out, socializing, science and landscaping but not housework! Mark is passionate about reaching and growing young people for Christ and hopes to be serving God in this area for years to come.
